SituationWater a.k.a. Vitamin Water

April 9, 2010

The always loveable Situation took some time out of his busy GTL schedule recently to film a VitaminWater commercial with New York Mets Third Baseman David Wright. The Sitch was schooling Wright on what he should be doing to reach his full GTL potential in style.

Check out the result below. We especially love the sliding “exercise” and the fact that the Sitch really dislikes wearing shirts.

Avatar and Inglourious Basterds get Jersey Shore Treatment

March 3, 2010

It’s time for another installment of Oscar nominee spoofs by the Jersey Shore cast members. Last night on Lopez Tonight we were treated to Snooki taking over the role of Lt. Aldo Rain – Brad Pitt’s character in Inglourious Basterds – and Pauly D becoming an Avatar.

Snooki did a stellar job screaming orders at her fellow castmates as she described how they would descend on South Beach and kill the brain cells of the Floridians. It’s great to see the cast poking fun at themselves and the show as it lets us in on the fact that they know we’re not necessarily laughing with them, but rather at them. And they’re laughing at us laughing at them.

Pauly D on the other hand, didn’t get much time to shine. All he had to do was lay in front of a green screen with his eyes closed and move his arms and legs to look like he was in water. The concept of the clip was funny, but it would have been better had we seen him actually do something Avatar-ish. We still love him though.

Jersey Shore goes Hollywood

March 1, 2010

Can’t remember the Best Picture nominees in this year’s Oscar race? I don’t blame you…with 10 nominees and two big contenders (Avatar and The Hurt Locker) it’s easy for the other eight to slip your mind.

Thankfully, our favorite JS-ers are here to remind you who might win when the Academy Awards are broadcast on Sunday, March 7.

With the help of George Lopez and Lopez Tonight, the Jersey Shore cast transforms into a pack of “basterds” killin’ nazi’s (now we know why Snooki, Vinny and JWoww were dressed up as Inglorious Basterds characters last week), a bomb diffusing squad, an inner-city teen who just so happens to be amazing at football, a downsizer and an abusive mother.

Tonight, we’ll be treated to The Hurt Locker – Jersey style, while Avatar, Up in the Air, Precious, Inglorious Basterds and The Blind Side will air throughout the week.

For those of you counting, that’s only 6 films. The other contenders are District 9, An Education, A Serious Man and Up.

For a sneak peak of The Hurt Locker, head on over to TMZ. They’ve got video here.

Jersey Shore Cast to Invade George Lopez Next Week

February 25, 2010

The entire Jersey Shore cast took a day out of their busy schedules of photo shoots with Bar Rafaeli, regretting season one wardrobe choices and giving Kim Kardashian Jersey Shore-esque nicknames to film a series of vignettes that will play on The George Lopez Show all next week.

The cast flew to LA for the day and headed to Lopez’s studio tired from their long flight and night out the night before. Snooki even tweeted that she was so tired her eyes were burning. But they toughed it out and gave it their all in front of a green screen.

Snooki and JWoww even managed to get a few shots of themselves in costume tweeted.

It looks as though the cast recreated a scene from the Oscar nominated Inglorious Basterds in which a group of Jewish-American soldiers, led by Brad Pitt, spread fear through the Third Reich by killing and scalping Nazi officers.

Snooki took on Pitt’s role of Lt. Aldo Rain, though her costuming is a bit more fitted than Pitt’s ever was. And the rest of the cast fell in as the “Basterds.”

It’ll be interesting to see just what they filmed yesterday, though it’s safe to say their costumes look great.

Tune into The George Lopez Show at 11 p.m. est on TBS all next week to see our favorite JS-ers.

Jersey Shore has another Cincinnati link

February 12, 2010

Anyone who’s a Cincinnati Bengals fan or aware of NFL teams in general should know who Ochocinco is. If you don’t know him by name (formerly Chad Johnson) then you probably know his antics – in the most recent season he “bribed” an official with a dollar during a review of a call and wore a sombrero and poncho while doing a type of Mexican hat dance.

But now Jersey Shore fans have another reason to know Ochocinco.

He recently tweeted a twitpic of himself with Pauly D and the Situation. It’s not clear when the picture was taken, but it seems recent and in a warm climate so it’s possible it was taken last weekend in Miami.

Take a look below. Ochocinco may very well have just become one of our favorite NFL players (though we’ll always hold a special place in our heart at Hairpoof for Brady Quinn. We just hope he has a better season next year,  but even when he loses he still looks good doing it).

Add Another Celebrity Jersey Shore Fan to the List

February 10, 2010

Beyonce gave Jersey Shore a shout out yesterday morning on the Today Show. The diva was in New York chatting with Kathy Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb about her new fragrance “Heat” (ps. If you haven’t seen the commercial for it, it’s fierce).

The hosts wanted to know what Beyonce does to keep herself out of all the tabloids to which B responded that she’s really a homebody and doesn’t like telling everyone her business. Remember, this is the woman who never officially admitted to being married to Jay-Z until this year’s Grammy Awards even though they’ve been married since April of 2008. She said that she really just likes to go home after a long day and watch tv in her sweats.

Today then asked what she was watching after those long days and B said she had just caught the Jersey Shore marathon on MTV, calling it “Good, quality entertainment.”

No word yet on which guido is Sasha Fierce’s favorite.

NKOTB Gets In on the Jersey Shore Love

February 3, 2010

Jersey Shore has a newly known celebrity fan – or rather group of fans. The New Kids on the Block’s Donnie Wahlberg recently posted a video of the NKOTB boys (or are they men now that they’re in the middle of a comeback?) fist pumping to “Shots” by LMFAO, who also provided the theme song for JS on their way to a screening for their new DVD “Coming Home” (see, we can pimp more than just JS stuff here too).

Check out Jordan Knight beating up the beat in the middle!
